2、石印術（Lithograph）以平的表面傳印，又稱平版法（Planographic）。大多數平版法是由印版傳印印刷圖文到一支橡皮滾筒，再轉印到承印物上，故此種印刷方式也可以稱為轉印（Offset），俗稱柯式印刷。因為平板印刷使用的油墨相當粘，當紙張從橡皮布上剝離時，對紙張表面有很大的拉扯力而產生剝皮力（Pickingforce），故用于此種方法印刷的紙張必須清潔、無紙毛，而且表面強度要強，同時此印刷方式易破壞涂布紙的涂布層，對紙張表面的平滑度要求不高，較粗糙的紙張也能印出很好的效果。

3、凹印術（Gravure）以凹下的表面傳送油墨到承印物上，又叫凹版法（Intaglio）。凹版（Gravureplate）的顯著特性是：油墨是由印版凹下部分直接加于承印物上的，印版表面是平的，只有圖文部分是凹下去。此印刷方式對紙張的平滑度要求比較高。此種印刷方式在煙包印刷中使用比較普遍。
